AKI wrestling ROM patcher

The AKI games on Nintendo 64 are a cluster of their own: WCW vs. nWo World Tour, WCW/nWo Revenge, WrestleMania 2000, WWF No Mercy, Virtual Pro Wrestling 64, and Virtual Pro Wrestling 2. Hackers built roster and presentation changes on those dumps. The community ran patcher.aki.guide on top of Rom Patcher JS so a visitor could apply a patch in the browser. The page itself says the owner archived the website on 16 October 2026. Later releases were pointed at r/N64WrestlingGames. I am repeating that banner, not guessing a shutdown cause.

aki.guide also has a games list from the same community publisher; these two pages are not counted as independent confirmation. What I do not have is a hash per base or a single patch format for every hack. The index does not print them, and I did not open every README. Known project names from the research pass include WCW Saturday Night, Project Outsider, VPW Salvo, La Fin Du Tour, SUMMIT, and REVENJI. Treat each README as the boss of its own base. A wrong game fails the patch CRC, and forcing the apply is reported to crash on the opening scene.

Byte order still rules. These are N64 files. A .z64 is what you want unless a README says otherwise. The home patcher can apply the file if you still have the patch from before the archive, or from whatever the community posts next. I am not rehosting those patches. Authors named alongside the scene include G.M. Spectre and ragdas. That is a credit, not a claim I interviewed them.

Related pages: the N64 byte-order guide, the Rom Patcher JS guide, and the hack index. The archive-date statement comes from the patcher’s owner banner.

Questions

Is patcher.aki.guide dead?

The owner archived it on 16 Oct 2026. The page can still load. New releases were directed to the subreddit named on the banner.

Which ROM do I use?

The one that hack's README names. The six games are not interchangeable.
