Copyright notices

If you believe a page on rompatcher.pro infringes a copyright you own, email [email protected]. 17 U.S.C. §512 is the procedure I am following for notices. A usable notice identifies the work, identifies the URL on this site, gives a way to reach you, states that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized, states that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed, and includes a physical or electronic signature. This mailbox is a contact channel; this page does not claim registration as a designated DMCA agent. I will not treat a one-line demand as complete.

Look at what this site actually stores. Articles, a patcher script, and hash numbers copied from public repositories. It does not store game dumps or patch binaries. A notice aimed at a ROM that is not here cannot be actioned by deleting a file I do not have. A notice aimed at a link or a quoted hash can. Tell me the URL. I would rather remove a bad link than argue about a file that is not on the origin.

Counter-notices, if any, go to the same address with the elements the same statute describes. I am not a court. Repeat notices about the same URL will be matched against the earlier mail. The contact page is the mailbox. There is no separate agent address.

Questions

Do you host ISOs?

No. Notices about a dump should name the page that links to it, if any. Most pages link to specifications and author sites.

How fast do you respond?

I read the mailbox. I do not publish a clock time. A complete notice is easier to act on than a short one.
