Every factual claim should point at a page a reader can open: a specification, a repository, an author site, or a statute. The check date on this build is 7 Nov 2026. A figure with two independent sources can sit in a table without a hedge. A figure with one source is marked as one source. A missing figure stays blank. I do not estimate file sizes, ratings, or version numbers to fill a hole.
When sources disagree I keep both. Rom Patcher JS is the standing example: tag v3.2.1, hosted label v3.5, and commit 4f17297 are three strings, not a typo to clean up. Lazarus as BPS in one guide and UPS in an uncited note is the other example. I would rather look undecided than invent a winner.
The voice on each page is a short note about the judgment I made, plus one Limitation sentence. I do not write a lab report about how a page was fetched. Interface names and error strings are quoted because the user sees those strings. I do not review a hack by playing it, and I do not describe a dump I am not distributing.
