rompatcher.pro is a browser-side ROM patcher. The files you select are read inside your browser and the patched result is offered as a download; those bytes are not uploaded to this site. There is no account system and no sign-up. You can write to [email protected] about anything on this page, including a request to delete an email you sent.
This site loads analytics, session replay and advertising by default. On your first page view, before you touch the banner, Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra start loading. The banner is a notice and a withdrawal control, not a gate: it explains what runs and offers Accept and Reject. Choosing Reject turns all three off in this browser and stores that choice for 180 days; Cookie settings in the footer reopens the banner so you can change your mind. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control (GPC), the site treats that as Reject automatically. The site reads Global Privacy Control directly; it does not interpret the separate Do Not Track setting.
Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC, Measurement ID G-TJEN7X1WJ8) measures page views and basic traffic. It sets the _ga cookie (distinct visitor id, up to 2 years) and the _ga_<container-id> cookie (session state, up to 2 years), and uses the gtag.js script from googletagmanager.com plus requests to google-analytics.com and region1.google-analytics.com. Event-data retention follows the GA4 property setting; this page does not claim a retention period that has not been checked in that property. The analytics_storage signal starts granted, while ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization start denied. Accept updates the signals to granted; Reject updates them to denied and reloads the page without the third-party loaders. Google's privacy policy is at https://policies.google.com/privacy and the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on is at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation, project z9vrkgmh4a) collects session interaction data for replay and heatmaps. It sets the _clck cookie (Clarity user id, 1 year), the _clsk cookie (session id, 1 day), the CLID cookie (1 year) and can read the Microsoft MUID cookie; its loader is served from clarity.ms and its collect endpoint is on *.clarity.ms. Clarity documents masking controls; masking does not mean every collected data item is anonymous. Its published retention is 30 days for playback data and 9 months for heatmaps and labeled or favorited sessions (1 vendor source). Clarity loads by default and Reject disables its loader on the reloaded page. Microsoft's privacy statement is at https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-us/privacystatement and Clarity's own notice is at https://clarity.microsoft.com/terms.
Adsterra (Adsterra Network, publisher id 3403020, website id 6182333) supplies two ad units on this site: NativeBanner_1 (unit 32140854) inside the page and SocialBar_1 (unit 32140855) as the floating bar at the bottom-right. Adult advertising is switched off for this site. Adsterra's scripts are served from bicea.org and its creative and measurement hosts include adsterra.com, highperformanceformat.com, profitableratecpm.com, show-creative1.com, show-sb.com and cloudpiko.com. Adsterra and those hosts set their own advertising cookies and local identifiers on their own domains; the exact cookie names are assigned by the network and are visible in your browser's site data for those domains. This site does not set them itself. The advertising loaders run by default and are disabled by Reject; a default-on loader is not a statement that you have actively consented. You can opt out of personalised advertising through https://optout.aboutads.info/ or https://www.youronlinechoices.com/, and you can control cookies in your browser at any time.
The site itself stores three localStorage keys. rp_consent holds the word granted or denied plus a timestamp, is kept for 180 days, and is the record the banner and the loaders read. rp_social_closed holds 1 when you close the Adsterra floating bar with its × button, so the bar stays closed on later visits until you clear site data. rom-patcher-js-settings is the patcher engine's own key for language and a few toggles and stays until you clear site data. None of these is a cookie.
YouTube is embedded on the how-to page behind a click-to-play facade. No YouTube script, cookie or request is made until you press play; after that, youtube.com and ytimg.com may set VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE, YSC and PREF and receive your IP address. The legal basis is your consent, given by pressing play. Google's privacy policy linked above covers that embed.
Use Reject through the banner or Cookie settings to disable analytics, replay and advertising. Clearing site data removes that stored choice, so the default-on behavior resumes on the next visit. Withdrawal does not affect processing that happened before it. You can ask what personal data is held about you, ask for a copy or deletion, or object to processing by writing to [email protected]. This policy is governed by the law of the operator's jurisdiction, without prejudice to rights you have where you live. Material changes appear as a new date on this page.
